L'affichomanie!

Since high school, my favorite design assignment has been a poster, and there's a great opportunity in Chicago to view work by five Belle Époque masters of the form — Jules Chéret, Eugène Grasset, Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen, and Alphonse Mucha, as well as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.  "L'affichomania: The Passion for French Posters" is on exhibit through January 7, 2018, at the Driehaus Museum and provides a generous look at this seductive medium.
